Mental Health First Aid (Scotland & England)

We all have mental health, and a baseline of knowledge on the subject helps people to be more open in looking after themselves and in tackling the challenges and stress of daily life. I have delivered SMHFA for 5 years. By participating in this course you become part of the solution in increasing mental health literacy in Scotland, tackling mental health stigma, supporting people to seek appropriate help and stay healthy.

”Chris has been amazing. I emailed Chris prior to the training due to personal circumstances surrounding suicide within my family and Chris arranged a zoom call with me to reassure me and speak through the suicide section of the course. Chris checked on me throughout the course and allowed me to pre read case studies etc prior to participating to make sure I was comfortable. I really appreciated this and felt very comfortable talking about everything. “

“I did not fully understand the benefit I would get from this course before attending. The two days have genuinely changed how I think about mental health, and what I am capable of doing. This is the best training I have ever attended and would encourage everybody I know to attend. Tough, challenging and brilliant.”

Mental health first aid allows you to identify someone in crisis and support them to get the help they need. This course can save lives.
